Welcome to my campaign website. Here at Rodney for Congress
you will find information you need in preparation for the
critical 2012 elections.

At the outset, let me offer my heartfelt thanks to the people of New Jersey's 11th Congressional District for allowing me the high honor of serving in the United States Congress. I am humbled by your support. Throughout my career, I have been committed to maintaining an open dialogue with each and every one of my constituents. That commitment remains as strong as ever, and I welcome you to get in touch with me at info@rodneyforcongress.com or 973-292-3656 if you feel I may be of service.

Important changes are coming to the 11th District. As a result of the last Census, New Jersey will have one fewer seat in Congress.  In late 2011, the bipartisan Congressional Redistricting Commission drew new boundaries of our district, removing several wonderful towns I have had the pleasure of representing and adding 14 new towns in Essex and Passaic counties.  I have enjoyed my work on behalf of the good people in the communities our district has lost and look forward to meeting those of you who are new to District 11. I give you my word that I will work tirelessly on your behalf.

My approach to public service: I will fight every day to improve New Jersey's future, change the way business is done in Washington and strive to put fact-based problem-solving ahead of politics to address the challenges we all face.

First and foremost, I always listen to the people and respect their views.  Fundamentally, my work on your behalf is about our country, our way of life and, yes, restoring confidence in the American Dream.

Our challenges are daunting. With a national debt now exceeding a record $15 trillion and President Obama and his allies in the Senate spending a trillion dollars we do not have, there is no time to waste.  Our focus in Congress must be private sector jobs, economic growth and opportunities and fiscal responsibility. To that end, I am working to:

  • Cut taxes and roll back regulations to encourage businesses – large and small – to open and create jobs in New Jersey;
  • Make the tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 permanent, so working families and small businesses can keep more of their hard-earned money;
  • Force Washington to tighten its belt and do more with less – just as New Jersey families are doing

No matter what the issue, I will listen and actively seek your opinions and advice so I can carry your concerns to Washington and fight for lower taxes, government accountability, stronger national security, and more economic security and freedom.

In the days and weeks to come, I hope to meet you and learn your priorities for Congress.  In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me directly with your questions, concerns and suggestions. I look forward to hearing from you!

And thanks again for your interest and support!

Sincerely,
